The horses move with the Mounted Ranger Unit, so the exact location of your ride can change according to where the horses are stationed and where wildlife is moving. Each ride is therefore shaped by the landscape rather than a fixed riding track.

Go beyond a horseback safari and spend time alongside the people who use horses as part of their conservation work.
Guests can meet the team, help prepare the horses for patrol, learn why horses remain an effective way to protect this landscape, and then ride through spectacular scenery for approximately two hours.

Before you ride
Good to know.
2-hour rides are suitable for beginners. 4-hour rides are for advanced riders.
Beginners: maximum 80 kg. Advanced riders: maximum 85 kg with a balanced seat.
The location changes with the horses. Current information indicates approximately 100–200 km per direction from Arusha or Moshi may be required.
Self-arrival to the designated meeting point is required, but transport arrangements can be assisted with if needed.
Rider information is required in advance so suitable horses can be available for each participant.
Solo riders are welcome when the ride price for two people is covered. Entry fees apply only to actual participants.
